When we tell people we give all our resources away for free, we get weird looks.
“How do you run an organisation when you just give everything away?” they ask.
And then we tell them about you – our army of supporters. The wildly-generous dreamers who believe that seesaws and sandboxes can change the world.
You’re mailing in monthly donations, hosting bake sales, listing “playgrounds” on your wedding registries and forking over your birthday presents for the cause.
You do it because you believe all kids, regardless of where they’re born, have the right to a happy childhood.
You do it because you believe play is the most valuable investment we can make as a global society.
And you do it because you believe in resources being open-source and free.
We can’t do this without you.
We work with many organisations around the world and to see the joy on children’s faces by Playground Ideas is priceless. Often times this is an area that is overlooked for children as it isn’t considered “a necessity”, but I argue this is a necessity as it allows children to be children for a moment in their life. I have seen first-hand the effects that a simple playground can bring to the community and I am strong advocate for the future of Playground Ideas.

of donations go towards creating open-source resources and supporting our global community of play-making-heroes.
A small group of private philanthropists cover our administrative expenses so that your money can go directly to the cause. That means when you give to Playground Ideas, 100% of the donation goes towards expanding global access to play. Our work is funded by generous individual donors as well as corporate playground sponsors who leverage their work in the play industry to make an impact globally.
